Panel Changes

Ensure Your Circuit Breaker Panel Is Insurable

If your circuit breaker panel is older than 25 years or manufactured by Federal Pacific or Sylvania Zinsco, there is a good chance that you are not covered by your Homeowner's Insurance policy. Our licensed electricians have solutions for your current problem.

A panel change out is usually required to alleviate a problem with the existing panel. Sometimes a breaker(s) might overheat to the point that the bus bar in a panel gets burned. The conductors between the meter and panel may become loose and burn out the main lugs, especially common when aluminum conductors were used.

Nowadays, with all the new appliances and technical devices we now have in our Brevard County area homes, we find that older homes might not have sufficient power available to handle the increased demand. Therefore, a "service upgrade" is required. This includes not only an upgrade in your electric panel but an upgrade in your meter socket and wire size between the meter and panel.

At Pingston Electric, we offer great prices, fast service, and because we do so many service panel upgrades, we have an intimate understanding of exactly what it takes to get the job done right the first time.

"To say I was blown away by Pingston would be a major understatement. The owner contacted me in regards to the two jobs that I requested online and gave me several suggestions to rule out the need for an electrician. What company does that?

They obviously have the customer's best interest in mind. Which explains why they have outstanding reviews. Turns out we needed a technician and scheduling was fast and easy. And I knew exactly what I would be paying beforehand. Every question I had he was able to answer in a way I could understand. It Is safe to say we will be using Pingston Electric, and Ed, from here on out for our electrical needs."
